Jordan A. Shaw is the Managing Partner of Shaw Lewenz and Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.
Jordan represents clients in high stakes litigation involving partnership disputes, derivative actions, corporate dissolutions and receiverships, securities and stockholder litigation, fraud and fiduciary litigation, M&A litigation, financial services litigation, and real estate and contract litigation. He also represents clients in class action litigation involving state and federal consumer protection laws, deceptive trade practices, illegal fees, balance billing, insurance, securities, and financial services. Jordan’s clients range from Fortune 500 companies, and other large public and private companies, to small and medium sized businesses, as well as executives, entrepreneurs, and individuals.
Most importantly, Jordan is a trial lawyer. Having obtained successful verdicts for both plaintiffs and defendants, he was nationally recognized as one of the best commercial litigators in the country by Best Lawyers in America 2025 and 2026. He is rated A.V. Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell and has been a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016 through 2025. Jordan has been praised as a “Lion at trial” and he and his team have been touted as “Better than Big Law” and “a powerhouse of talented lawyers.” Jordan and his cases have been featured in Bloomberg, the Daily Business Review, Law 360, South Florida Business Journal, Local 10 News, Channel 7 News, CBS Miami, NBC 4 New York, The Miami Herald, The Transportation Lawyer, Courtroom View Network, Top Class Actions, and The Real Deal.
In addition to his trial practice, Jordan is regularly appointed by the judiciary to serve as a chapter 44 arbitrator and serves as an expert witness and consultant on issues relating to class litigation, certification, and settlement, as well as fee disputes. Jordan sits on the Board of Directors for the University of Miami Law Alumni Association, serving as Board President from 2024-2025.
