Shaw Lewenz is proud to announce that its Managing Partner, Jordan A. Shaw has been named one of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite Notable Managing Partners. The award is given to a select few individuals—less than 120 lawyers out of over 115,000 in Florida—who fit the criteria of a “well-respected, influential leader, top professional, strong manager of a firm’s operations and strategic direction, wise litigator, effective negotiator, and highly ranked among peers.” The elite list of individuals also demonstrates “caring, compassion, and a willingness to go above and beyond to make a difference both in the office and throughout the community.“
The recognition is not paid for; to qualify, nominees must be in good standing with The Florida Bar, be based in Florida, lead a professional staff of at least ten, have practiced for at least a decade, and have made a significant impact in their field. Just as important, honorees must be mentors who promote positive workplace practices and demonstrate leadership in professional organizations and community service.
Florida Trend found that Jordan embodied the criteria outlined above. As Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, he represents Fortune 500 companies, closely held businesses, executives, and individuals in high-stakes partnership disputes, derivative actions, securities and stockholder litigation, and class actions. He is a trial lawyer, having secured successful verdicts for both plaintiffs and defendants. Jordan has been named one of the best commercial litigators in the country by Best Lawyers in America for 2025 and 2026, rated A.V. Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016 through 2026. In 2026, he also received the “On the Rise” Award from the Daily Business Review.
His leadership extends well beyond his own cases. Jordan is regularly appointed by the judiciary to serve as a Chapter 44 arbitrator and is called upon as an expert witness and consultant on class litigation, certification, settlement, and fee disputes. He served as the President of the University of Miami Law Alumni Association from 2024 to 2025, concluding a decade of volunteer board service. He continues to be actively involved in bar associations and mentorship across South Florida.
For clients, this recognition is more than just an award. It signifies a managing partner who skillfully combines the resources and expertise of a national practice with the responsiveness, judgment, and personalized attention of a boutique firm. This precise combination is what high-stakes matters require. Our entire team here at Shaw Lewenz team congratulates Jordan on this honor, which reflects both his individual excellence and the firm’s shared commitment to serving clients and the community at the highest level.
