Meet the Next Law Alumni Association President: Jordan A. Shaw, JD ‘14

Shaw Lewenz is a boutique litigation and trial law firm that handles almost exclusively high-stakes litigation matters. Though its flagship office is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Shaw Lewenz handles complex commercial litigation, class actions, consumer protection litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death matters across the United States and the world.

Jordan Shaw, partner at Shaw Lewenz, stays involved with Miami Law as President-elect of the Law Alumni Association.

Jordan Shaw is a Miami native who grew up in Broward County. He always wanted to be a ‘Cane and saw the University of Miami as full of opportunities. He felt that UM would be the best place for him in terms of job prospects, networking, and becoming a successful lawyer.

While at Miami Law, Jordan was an editor on the University of Miami Law Review, which taught him to write and edit critically, helped his time management, and showed him the importance of great writing. He was a Dean’s Fellow for Contracts and Elements with former Dean Patricia White and Professor Robert Rosen. Jordan was also a student liaison on the Faculty Curriculum Committee.
